Become the most powerful Castle Lord in the Empire.
Defeat your opponents by building the strongest military in the region.
Enter into alliances so that your enemies can never attack you without being retaliated upon.
You can be your own King and Commander in this exciting mobile real-time strategy game from Goodgame Studios. Set in a world that’s similar to Europe’s Middle Ages, your task is simple - build a simple castle from scratch and turn it into a fortress that no one will dare siege or attack.
At the same time, you must back it up with a powerful army that no one can withstand on the war path.
Of course, all of these is done in the convenience of your mobile device. This means you can play Empire: Four Kingdoms anywhere you want to, as long as you can find access to a working Internet connection.
Being a real-time strategy game, this one focuses more on requiring you to manage your time accordingly while working towards your ultimate goal. You’d be more focused on building and fortifying your castle, while attacking, plundering and spying takes only second place in your priorities, at least at the starting levels.
You start off with a set of quests that will help you build a solid foundation for your kingdom, resource-wise and population-wise.
Resources are very important, of course; they’re necessary for constructing production facilities. There are three resources that you’d be managing most of the time, namely, stone, food and wood. These are periodically produced by their respective facilities, which you can upgrade in order to improve their output.
To be more productive, you will need more citizens or subjects working for you. You can increase your castle’s population by constructing Dwellings.
This is where Empire: Four Kingdoms sets itself apart from the competition. It puts in an additional layer of challenge by requiring you to strike a balance between population happiness and dissatisfaction.
You see, while adding Dwellers increases your productivity, it also makes your population unhappy with the “intruders.” There’s a gauge at the top of the screen, with a needle that you must keep in the middle.
If the gauge starts to learn more towards the red side, it’s time to construct some decorative items to improve your population’s happiness.
Of course, the game will never be complete with player versus player and campaign modes. Periodically, you’ll be given a quest that will require you to attack an AI Castle Lord. Later on, you’ll be able to battle other players as well from the World Map.
Battles are instantaneous. You’d only need to send waves of your soldiers to your target, and then go back to your castle to mind its production and economy.
Finally, keep on purchasing expansions using in-game cash, so you can have more space for production facilities and citizen dwellings.
There’s plenty of room for fun and excitement in this otherwise simple-looking real-time strategy game. Go ahead and download the game now to your mobile device.
